2026-27 Community Small Grants New Group Start Up

Applications must be submitted by 31 May 2027 to be considered for funding in the 2026-2027 financial year. 

Community Small Grants -  New Group Start Up Support category. This one-off funding opportunity is designed to support the establishment of new community groups in Kingston, that reflect the diversity of our community. Each group is eligible to receive a start-up grant once only. Once your group is set up as an incorporated not-for-profit, you may be eligible to apply for other grant opportunities within the Kingston Grants Program.

This section of the application form is designed to help determine your eligibility for this grant stream.  It is important that you read and understand the Confirmation of Eligibility and acknowledge that you meet the criteria.

Applicants must:

• Be registering as not-for-profit and managed by a volunteer board/committee of management
• Be located in the City of Kingston; or if located outside of Kingston, be able to demonstrate significant benefit to the Kingston community
• Align with the key directions of the Council & Wellbeing Plan 2025-29
• Align with the purpose and requirements of this grant stream
• Submit a complete application, including attachments or other supporting information requested by Council
• Have set up a bank account in the group's name (ie: no personal bank accounts)
• Adhere to the Victorian Child Safe Standards (if applicable)
