City of Kingston has created a unique artist-in-residency program (AIR) in Moorabbin where artists can immerse themselves in their creative practice, collaborate with peers and share resources.
The Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program offers a fully funded Kingston Arts Centre Studio for three months, $1,500 stipend, and opportunities to connect and build networks with other creatives and the community. The workshop space is divided into four individual studios, providing personal working areas for artists while promoting collaboration within the shared room. The residency program whilst structured into 3-month blocks, allows for consideration of multiple block residencies for artists or art projects that require more time.
Art practices appropriate for the space include (but are not limited to): painting, illustration, printmaking, textile, collage, small sculpture, ceramics.
City of Kingston encourages applications from creatives with diverse lived experiences and/or from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, migrant, refugee and faith communities, people with disability, gender-diverse communities and LGBTIQA+ communities.
City of Kingston invites further conversations about any adjustments we can provide to facilitate a positive application process. Please get in touch on visualarts@kingston.vic.gov.au
